Discussions on how to be a lady in an uncivilized world. A lady never uses vulgar language, violence to herself or others, or any sort of negativity to get what she wants. A lady uses class, elegance, style, and her own air of loveliness. Also her closet and makeup bag help as well.
Okey Doke. So I collect films. For reals. Hardcore. You should feel special because I am pulling some of my favorites from my vault. Most of these you probably heard of.... some of them maybe not.... Most are pretty old...some just aren't. Enjoy
Short synopsis of every single one of these films. I like them. I'm awesome. Therefore they are awesome. ya dig? Now stop trying to save starving orphans in Africa and do something important like sit on your butt and watch these movies all day.
yes I am wearing overalls. No I'm not wearing makeup. Ain't I sexy in a future serial killer way?
I could watch the cruise pretty much everyday. It inspires me and moves me and reminds me of old lovers. The Cruise is my favorite documentary that I have seen, Speed Levitch is a role model for me. Watch this clip. It will move you.
and if you want something else that will move different parts of you....
I understand things now. I have a thing for femme fatales. Those mysterious women who are slightly evil, classically sexy, and a part dark. Those women are my role models. The Cat women, the Irene Adler's, the Elizabeth Taylor's, etc.etc. Those are my women. This is who I want to become.
Not for men. God no. I do not want to be feminine for them. I want to be attractive for my own enjoyment. Who says you can't be classically feminine and not have gonads?
Femme Fatales are so alluring because they are strong and smart on their own. Independent.
Irene Adler, BBC Sherlock, soooo much better than the films
Hedy Lamarr
Veronica Lake
Marlene Dietrich
My favorite being fault zone, irene adler, and basically any 1940's film siren.
Fault Zone my favorite Marvel Characyer Ever!!!!!!
Firstly, I am on pintrest check me out with my honest to god real name, not my writing/stage name! Heather Pharis. the site is pintrest.com/heatherpharis. My computer is trying to correct me into me typing pint rest. UGH! Computer fail!
Secondly, It has come to my attention that there is a dance interpretation of William Faulkner's "As I lay Dying" Faulkner being one of my favorite Southern Gothic writers, and this novel being one of his best (besides my all-time favorite of his The Sound and The Fury!!! Gawsh I cry every time!)
The rehearsal of said dance
Lastly, I'm OBSESSING over old shows and new tv shows that I apparently have missed. The first being Twin Peaks. I'm already done with the first season and I just started watching it last week! Secondly being Freaks and Geeks which I started watching due to James Franco, who I love and will eventually marry! admire as an actor. The newest obsession, which is also the most current show, is BBC's Sherlock. Its a nice balance between the sophisticated mind of Sherlock Holmes, while showing the grittiness of mankind in general.
Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks, my new girl crush
Sherlock
Freaks and Geeks
Quick Fact- House and Wilson from House are based off of Holmes and Watson from Sir Conan Doyles's Holme's stories! see the resemblance of the relationship now?
I consider myself quirky. Slightly weird. heavily nerdy. but a whole lot of quirky. I'm okay with this. because I'm like the honey badger. I don't care. (if you don't understand this reference look it up on youtube...It has salty language beware!)
The queen of quirky I believe has got to be the lovely zooey deschenal (spell check please?) I adore new girl, but I have to say I love her band she & him sooo much more.
Can she get any prettier? I think not. She may self destruct from too much awesome.
My absolute favorite is by far (500) days of Summer. Hilarious and sweet romance.
Well I'm pooped. Just wanted to share my delightful Zooey with you all.
I am a Brony. Plain and simple, I watch My little pony Friendship is Magic and I love it. I'm Pinkie Pie. I know this. and I rock because of it.
Hasbro recently launched My Little Pony Project: Friendship is Magic, a charitable art exhibition in Los Angeles, and asked a number of our favorite artists to interpret Pony sculptures with their own unique flair. Dude! As a fellow Brony, I'm fricken ecstatic. I want to be there soooo bad. but I'm stuck in Georgia. Oh we'll,
Melrose Avenue meets My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. GAWWSHH She's beautiful!!!!
So I have a slight obsession with the film midnight in paris by woody allen. It fits me. I've always felt that
I was a flapper at heart or a 1940's film siren. Besides that, I am one of the biggest literature geeks there are. And as far as I'm concerned the Roaring Twenties is where its at. All my favorite artists are from this era, one of which being Luis Bunuel a wonderful director. Here he is partnered with the Surrealist Salvador Dali (one of my absolute favorite artists ever!) Based on IMDB Luis had a dream about slitting the moon with a cloud like a razor to an eye, and Dali dreamed of ants coming out of a palm. The title translates to ants in the palm which I feel is a metaphor towards mans drive to kill other men. I also feel that when he is dragging the priests and the piano and the ten commandments that these represent things that hold him back from his instinct of killing. The fascination and glamour of death is shown through the woman poking the severed hand with a stick, being surrounded by people. And in turn she dies and everyone gawks at her. I can interpret this as either a "ashes to ashes" approach or a more interesting twist, dying through a too close fascination with death. Becoming so enwrapped with the idea, that you actually kill yourself either by your own hand or the driver's. Well enough critique enjoy the deliciously triply 1928 infamous short film
