old pictures

So I found these supah old pics from me in high school uniform. I like the green heart necklace which is vintage. Also these earrings which I don't know where the hell they came from. The shoes are hand me downs from my awesome Great Grandmother whom I call Granny. Green be my favorite color! Also my hair is fricken SWEEET, no makeup. I like it.

But you're any other man in another man's clothes-sunset rubdown

Felt like beginning with a lyric from one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands "mending of the gown" by sunset rubdown. Speaking of sunsets, my nails I painted in a gradient style. But not in sunset colors! I really like mint green nail polish, then again I do not know anyone who dislikes mint green this season. I made an ombre effect with a metallic navy blue color.

How I did this? I'm a wizard. Actually no it sucks and messy, but its a first time. First Times are supposed to be awkward.

Tutorial time!!!!
1. painted my nails fully with the lighter color. Wait till dry!
2. on a ziplock bag painted a generous amount of both colors next to each other slightly touching.
3.blur the two colors in the middle. Not totally mixed up. just where the two different colors met.
4. dabbed the paint on a sponge, and then wiggled it on the dry nails. Don't be afraid to make a mess. You can clean up afterwards.
5. Cover  with a clear topcoat.
6.Wait till dry and enjoy :)

Loves y'all!

Little bit of a Liberal Rant

So a few days back, I liked the LGBT news page on Facebook. For those who don't know its the Lesbian,Gay,Bisexual, Transgender alliance. The next day, I lost like 5 Facebook friends, and a very upsetting message about how "they were going to pray about my unnatural situation."Not really pissed or upset, just sad for their ignorance.
Firstly, I'm not Gay, Lesbian,Bisexual or Transgender, I'm a person. I'm a person who believes in human existence and I believe in love and equality.
Secondly, I don't even believe in sexuality labels, I believe that people just have preferences, and people fall in love. This political poster strengthens my point.
Lastly, I don't see why people get all huffy about Marriage being between a Man and a Woman. Yeah it says a Man should not lay with another Man, but the bible also says not to eat shellfish and pork. But besides that, I don't see why someone else's marriage disturbs your own.  Not letting people get married just because it doesn't follow YOUR religious views is just ridiculous in my mind. Isn't there a supposed to be a separation between church and state?
I close with a speech by Kurt Hummel from Glee, I know its Glee, but don't look down upon it, this quote wrung true to me.

Kurt: You can't punch the gay out of me any more than I can punch the ignoramus out of you

Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones, as the wind extinguishes candles and fans fires. Francois de La Rochefoucauld

I finished my 538 page novel two nights ago. I'm proud of myself. Its a collection of not very cohesive, anxiety filled love stories. Here is an excerpt:

This was the last night she was going to lay in bed waiting on his text. The very last night. She was going to wait one more hour for him to respond, and then she was going to sleep.
In Two hours she was going to be dreaming of a different person.
In Four hours and she was going to forget of his existence.
In Six hours he was going to text her back with a sweet “Good Morning, Sorry I did not get back to you but I was *insert reasonable excuse for verbally standing her up here*
In Six hours and one second she was going to forgive him.

But in the infinite space between this second and the next, she was waiting patiently for him to respond. She laid in her bed listening to the cicadas and the crickets and the distant dogs barking.  Her mind was busy thinking of every single situation to why he was not responding except the one excuse he’ll have. She laid and wondered what girl he was kissing at this very moment. Whose thumbs were his thumbs too entangled with to text her back?
Was she tall and slender, with the body that clothes fall on and off of perfectly? Or was she all curves that crave to be touched? She laid in her bed and assumed the perfect combination of both. She assumed that the girl he was whispering to had a voice that was naturally musical. That the girl had always had smooth shaven skin, with a hereditary glow that comes out in the summer and lasts through the winter. Her hair had to be dark. Dark and wavy with a sheen that makes glass look dull. He was burrowing his face in the nape of her neck, and inhaled a her scent of vanilla and light musk. Her beauty magnified by the moonlight while they slow danced to a string quartet by the waterside. He never took her dancing anymore.
Maybe she was a redhead! With light auburn hair and mint green eyes. Had’nt he dated a girl like that before? They ran into eachother at a coffee shop, or a bookstore, or an old record store and ordered/grabbed the same thing. There was no awkward conversational fumbles that suggested they had forgotten eachother. They recognized eachother instantly and they had to catch up on old times! And she was the one he took out dancing in the moonlit waterside!

But the hour had passed, and she gave him thirty more minutes. And after no response, she drifted into sleep. A dreamless, empty sleep. Without any dizzying thoughts, spiraling conundrums, or worrisome daydreams.
Her phone buzzed once, and she awoke to read “Sorry was busy, I love you”
And even if it were total bullshit, even if he had been running around with both of those girls, because he said those last three words, she would have been okay.Because he responded.

Well She was an american girl, raised on promises-Tom Petty

Feeling kinda small towny today. Went out to my favorite place to eat ever in Dublin, The Minute Grill. Established in 1963 and still going. You feel like you walked back in time, like a less classy version of Mad Men. Speaking of which, I'm going on a ginormous kick about, watching about 4 episodes a night now. Sleep? Fuck it.  But here is a pic of the yummy delicious burgers they have, and the BEST fries in the universe.

I wore an outfit inspired by mechanics combined with Rosie the Riveter. Red plaid shirt with poofy sleeves under a cotton/denim romper kinda deal. To top this off I donned my cobalt blue low top Converse sneakers.

I've been working out, but my calves are not as defined as they usually are. But I love the chucks. :)

think about all the text messages and emails and phone calls going straight through your soul- jim pharis my dad

Just an interesting thought to start you off for today, think about all the invisible technological messages running through our bodies, infecting our air, and weaving through individual strands of our hair. Think about every text message that is sent, and how quick it moves. About how much information is sent a day, and where it is before someone asks for it. Computers and technology freak me the fuck out, eventually where are humans going to be?

    Well Hello there!
Anyways I've felt like playing dress up, and I blame it on reruns of sex and the city. Curse you Carrie Bradshaw!!!!! And because of this, I want to put on a blue fluffy chiffon skirt and a tuxedo shirt and silver sparkle heels because i can.

Well I didn't want to show my face due to a ginormous zit. Ickky. didn't feel like putting on makeup or a bra, just one of them days. Well I love you all. Thanks for putting up with my stupidity and low quality pictures.

Everything we say signifies; everything counts, that we put out into the world. It impacts on kids, it impacts on the zeitgeist of the time. Meryl Streep

So I work with little kids on their dance. I teach 3-12 yr olds. They can do no wrong in my eyes. I love them. I think I am blessed with the gift of dealing with children effectively. To help raise and teach and shape their minds for the future is an amazing thing. Especially when its something you love ardently like dance. Here is a picture with my favorite little love bug however. Abigail Leigh, my cousin, who is 5 years old just discovered photo booth and so we played around with it.

“Redheaded women buck like goats.” ― James Joyce

So I dyed my hair to get rid of my roots, I thought that I'd go for a strawberry blonde like I did a couple of months ago. I love strawberry blonde, its always been my favorite shade. If I had the balls, I'd go straight out red, but I doubt that it would flatter me very well.
I do not have any flattering pictures of my hair now, but here are some good pictures of my hair a couple of months ago. I was in a show called Elephant's Graveyard, and I was Ballet Girl who I based off of Marilyn Monroe/ Mila Kunis's character in Black Swan.

Ignore how awful my body looks, just try and focus on how fabulous my hair looks.

All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy-The killing Joke

Fault Zone, my video game vixen
Maria Petrova was a great ballerina in Russia, garnering international attention for her agility and grace. An earthquake caused a car crash that killed her parents and crippled her. Her experiences made her cold and angry at the world. Van Roekel took advantage of her pain and promised her the ability to walk if she were to join him. Becoming Fault Zone, Maria gains cybernetic attachments that allow her to both dance and cause her own little earthquakes.

So I had a crappy day. don't want to talk about it. but drowned my sorrow and anger and mania with comic books and marvel video games.
I've been really obsessed with this one character named Fault Zone. Gawww I love her. She is the epitome of awesomeness to me.
Sorry about the cheesiness of this, it comes from 2005 video game partnered with Marvel and EA.

So with any great obsession comes inspiration! So I had to zoom in deep to one of the very very few pictures they have of her, and see what she has on her face. Turns out its all basically black and plum. deep dark plum lips, heavy rimmed black eyeliner, a light plum blush, and dark hair and soul. (thats part of her charm)

I felt inspiration from her costume, the deep purple and black are really striking on her fair skin. I wanted to incorporate that wonderful purple color somewhere in the eyes.

So I don't own black lipstick, what I did here was put on a deep plum lipstick that i owned and ever so carefully dusted my lips with black eyeshadow. Really cheap alternative than buying black lipstick.
